Time to pour some wisdom on the keypad of my laptop. Hello folks! I hope you will be fine and doing great. This morning I was going through my planning files for the last month. In the last four weeks, I wrote more than 30,000 words, read 7 books, and published a course on gender psychology on Udemy. Now let me tell you that this all is roughly 30% to 40% of what I achieved in the past (I don’t want to brag more about my achievements). So, here I am to tell you about those seven things that I strictly follow to keep my optimum productivity. Here are the 5 Ingredients for Unlimited Hyperfocus and here is the most valid answer of your question “How to be More focused in work”?

First, let me tell you about a massive downgrade that we humans had in 2013. The average human attention span in 2000 was 12 seconds but it went to 8 seconds in 2013. Guess where it will be now? Probably 3 or 4 seconds in 2023. One more fact: the attention span of a goldfish is 9 seconds (more than us). Here is how you can Improve your Attention space and make it enough to concentrate on any tasks and make yourself more productive by being more focused.

1-Re-Focus:

Understand this fact that you will lose focus due to many distractions around you. But you have to make a decision, a decision that you will redirect your attention to your work soon after getting distracted. Suppose you are distracted by your phone, instead of checking notifications and responding to them, just turn on silent mode and head back to your focus. Accept the fact that you will lose focus due to multiple things but you have to stay committed to your task and let nothing come your way.

2-Organize Yourself:

Your External Environment matters as much as your Internal Environment does. Focus on things that may misdirect you from your mission. Put them far away from your access. Turn off the WIFI, put your phone on Airplane mode and throw it into your drawer. Organize your stuff in such a way that it supports your mission of being more focused on your work.

3-First Things First

Eat that frog by Brian Tracy is one of my favorite books which explains the phenomenon of why we should do Important tasks first. This tiny book of about 100 pages will teach you to be more decisive about your tasks and help you in setting your Prioritize. Buy this book from Amazon to learn this art in detail. Summary? Just do the Important tasks first. Instead of using your best hours for tasks that don’t require much of your brain energy. Do things that require you to be more creative, artistic, and unique. I am writing this blog at 06:25 am. Redefine your Prioritize and do Important things first.

4-Exercise

While trying to achieve hyperfocus, you must do something that keeps injecting energy into you. Any form of physical workout will help. Play, run, gym, dance, stretch, or any other outdoor activity. Spare 10 Minutes a day at the start for this. Be Consistent to let the fruits of exercise add the sweetness in your productivity. If you ask me, I start exercising for about 10 minutes a day and now I can do that for 30 minutes a day. My exercise in nothing more than few minutes of plank, stretching, push and situps, crouches, and few self-invented Exercises.

5-Don’t Multitask:

Try to do one thing at a time. Organize a nice to-do list and try to do your tasks one by one. Don’t engage yourself in multiple tasks at one time. They don’t do any favor to you. They will only make you stressed and worried. Don’t be a bad investor of your time. Be Sensible Budd.

So, these were my fives things, what are your? Let me know in the comment. Here are my top 3 books on the topic of focus. Read these books and become unlimited in your life.
